With the Kincade Fire getting under control and the extreme wind events of late October behind us, we can take a few breaths. Unfortunately we are still at a very high level of fire risk due to the low humidities and very dry fuel. This will continue until we finally get some good rains, which are not expected until mid-November at the earliest. Please do not let your guard down! Be vigilant, and avoid activities that can spark a fire. Hang on, winter is in sight!
