Many coastal fire agencies, including TSRVFD, worked together in August and September of 2010 to burn off grass and brush at the Reef Campground. Planned burns are good training opportunities for learning about wildfire behavior and control.
Finally the rain has come and the grass is green. The cool and damp winter is welcome, and too short! Spring will be here soon enough, and it is a good time to get fuel clearance projects done.
Burn permits required as of May 1, 2019; click here for details. Call 707-565-BURN (565-2876) for more information. Click here to see burn districts. NSCFPD is in the Northern Sonoma County Air Pollution Control District (NSCAPCD). See FAQ page for more burn information.
