Sonoma County Coast MAC Seeking Members

The newly-formed Sonoma County Coast Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) is accepting applications for members.  Two representatives are planned from our “subarea” in the MAC (our subarea pretty much matches the boundaries of the NSCFPD).  The Sea Ranch Association Board has already recommended one person to be a member and one person to be an alternate.

Please see https://sonomacounty.ca.gov/Sonoma-County-Coast-Municipal-Advisory-Council/ and its subsections for a complete explanation of the MAC’s purpose and member responsibilities, as well as a map of the MAC and its regions.  The deadlines posted there are being extended a bit, through early November.  NSCFPD will discuss recommending a MAC member at their November 12, 2018 meeting (6:00 p.m. at the North Fire Station).  If you are interested in being considered for recommendation by the District, or have questions about this, please send Email Chief Plakos, and/or plan on attending the NSCFPD Board meeting on November 12.

Final appointments to the MAC will be made by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors.
